Alicia has been trained in and utilizes Trauma Focused – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS), Aggression Replacement Training (ART), Motivational Interviewing, Client Centered Modalities and is culturally competent.

Alicia is available to provide therapy to individuals aged 14 and up and their families. Alicia’s focus is to help you find your inner peace and the pathway towards living your best life.

Alicia Powell is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Mental Health Specialty designation in the state of Tennessee and has completed the rigorous requirements to be certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology from Christian Brothers University and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Freed Hardeman University. She has worked in community outpatient settings - providing individual and intensive outpatient group therapy to adults, and working with at-risk youth who have exhibited intense emotional and behavioral concerns.  Additionally, Alicia has extensive experience in administering psychological needs assessments.

 Alicia is skilled in mood disorders (including Depression, Anxiety, and Bipolar), abuse/trauma, child welfare, self-esteem concerns, gender identity concerns, emotion regulation, conflict resolution, stress and anger management.
