Lisa Adams is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, earning her Masters degree from Capella University. Lisa has been working in the social services field for over 20 years, addressing mental health as well as substance abuse in a wide array of environments. She is honored to have gained experience from working in group homes, residential centers, outpatient centers, and inpatient centers.
Lisa takes a holistic and individualized approach to helping all clients. She draws from several theories, including CBT, DBT, Family Systems, Mindfulness, Narrative, Solution- Focused, and Trauma-Focused CBT. Her knowledge and expertise encompasses depression, anxiety, self-esteem problems, family conflict, gender identity/ family support, peer/ school issues, trauma, stress, addiction/ recovery, codependency, parenting, behavioral issues, self - harm and suicidal ideations.
Lisa welcomes the opportunity to work with you and your family to assist with rebuilding and regaining the strength in your life. It is time to write your own story and transcribe your own narrative. She is available to provide counseling to clients ages 6 and older for individual, couples, and family counseling.
