Cathi is a licensed clinical social worker in Tennessee and Florida.  She has extensive experience working with a variety of ages, socio-economic contexts, and multi-cultural backgrounds.  Cathi uses an eclectic mix of interventions that may include cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused brief therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, narrative therapy, and grief counseling, all from a strengths perspective.  Additionally, she is trained in Flash Technique, EMDR, and Ego State Therapy.

Cathi works with adults from 18 to 100 plus, and helps them find strengths within themselves to attain positive change.

Cathi’s path to becoming a therapist was somewhat meandering, though that allowed her to land in exactly the right place.  It involved a variety of life experiences, both professionally and personally.  Personally, she has participated in her own therapy and has reached a place of self-awareness and acceptance.  Cathi has always been interested in people's stories, how we perceive things, what drives our decisions, and what we do. As a therapist, she has curiosity about you, with no judgment about your past, your experiences, or your feelings. Professionally, Cathi has worked as a mental health crisis assessor, worked with homeless veterans, provided counseling to family systems, and provided support and counseling in hospice settings.  She integrates her experiences with compassion, sensitivity, and creativity so that you may experience acceptance, a sense of belonging, and a chance to process thoughts and feelings in a warm, nonjudgmental space.  Appointments can be scheduled by calling 901-498-9126.
